Welcome to the Bird's Nest

Discover a home away from home. Designed with lots of personality and located in the relaxed center of the island of Aruba - just a few minutes' drive from the sea.
Our vacation home combines classic rustic coziness with modern style elements. The Bird's Nest invites you to enjoy Caribbean life to the full.

A place with history

The Bird's Nest is not just a vacation home - it is a home full of memories and stories shared by three generations of our family. Originally built as a winter residence for the grandparents, who created a little paradise here, the house carries on their spirit today. Children and grandchildren have added new elements to the Bird's Nest. From the unique charm of the house itself to the garden with tropical plants and the breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea - every corner tells its own story.

The name “Bird's Nest” comes from the viewing platform on the roof of the house. Our grandparents built it to enjoy the fresh wind, passing clouds, the sunset over the sea and the stars. This feeling of freedom and closeness to nature still characterizes the house today.

Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere and experience how the history of the Bird's Nest continues to be written - perhaps soon with your own unforgettable experiences and memories.

The bedrooms

The house has two individually designed bedrooms, inspired by the two defining natural forms of Aruba: land and sea.
The “Land” room is designed in fresh green tones and decorated with plants and stones from the island. The “Sea” room awaits you with shades of blue and is decorated with local shells and driftwood.
The rooms are the same size, have the same storage space and offer a quiet, air-conditioned oasis for restful nights.

The Birds Nest on the Roof

The garden with tropical plants

Surrounded by exotic plants, the garden invites you to relax. There are blossom trees, cacti, palm trees, a large banana tree and many hiding places, nesting and feeding areas for birds, lizards and geckos. The fireplace is ideal for cozy evenings where you can enjoy the warmth of the fire under the clear starry sky.

The “pool”

The “pool” of the Bird's Nest is the Caribbean Sea. The bay of Mangel Halto is only a few minutes away. It offers calm and shallow water for babies, sandy non-swimmer areas for children, the opportunity for an extended swimming experience as well as corals and rocks for passionate snorkelers.
Aruba is also a dry island and fresh water is rare. Last but not least, a pool costs a lot of space and money to maintain. This would increase the house rent, and we don't want that.
For these reasons, the Bird's Nest does not have its own pool.
